An ode with a beat. A veritable ode to a city that deserves one, but coupled with a thick, driving beat that begs from its knees for a roomful of dancers. Turns out this is what happens when Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig—a visionary voice for today's Manhattan—teams up with the London-based project SBTRKT. I can tell you this much: results have been getting my Peloton rides really hot in the heels this past week. I'm genuinely in love with the lyrics: fresh, fly, and thickly veined with the population of these five glorious boroughs, from the Empire State to the old Dutch village of New Dorp. I dare you not to love it. I dare you.
